A sparkling 53' x 25' in-ground pool is situated between Chumley Homeplace and The Gallery with views of grounds, gardens and the fields and woods beyond. The Cottage is a short walk from the main house and is located next to the standing chimney of the original owner's former law office. Walking trails through the woods and the setting around the pond create peaceful, serene spaces from which to watch the birds and wildlife. Located in the beautiful northern Shenandoah Valley just north of historic Middletown, Vaucluse Spring is convenient to DC and Dulles Airport, yet is so very rural and serene. Rich with history, Vaucluse Spring was built by one of the valley's earliest families and is now a manageable 44.25 acres. During major renovations in the late 90s, new systems, plumbing, electrical, commercial kitchen were all added, and the beautiful original millwork, mantels, doors and flooring were carefully restored.
